This is not the norm for us. Our cattle know how to lead and they lead willingly, we don't train them by dragging them. That said, when a 6 year old decides she's doing her fair poster on teaching a calf to lead and chooses a calf who isn't interested in leading, that calf has met her match. This is now a six year old cow that anyone can put a halter on and lead, fully trained by a six year old child.
First a nice conversation about how she's going to teach her to lead.
Letting her know she taught her mom to lead when she was still 4 years old so not to try anything funny because she is going to lead.
I don't think Lucky Charm listened.
Rachel isn't giving up.
She told her she is going to show her and she isn't going to be a brat at the fair. I was working hard to hold in the laughter during these lectures.
A battle of wills.
Throwing yourself down in a tantrum won't phase Rachel.

She said "look at your mom! Look at her! She walks like a champ! When we were little Katie had to push while I pulled but we taught her!"
Flashback. Rachel is correct, Petunia leads perfectly now. Four year old twins were a force to be reckoned with!
